If you have lost you Prop and Costume list, please email me and I can forward one to you.  Due to the Easter missed classes, all the studios have slightly different lists, which makes it difficult for me to publish all of these online!

Easter Weekend

There will be no classes over the Easter weekend - this effects the following studios - Bishopdale, Lincoln, Paparoa St and Fendalton.

We still have spaces in some of our classes, so please make contact if you are keen to enrol your child into our afterschool classes.

A special welcome to our new teacher Lauren, who is thoroughly enjoying her Fendalton and Oaklands classes.  From this week, she will also be teaching our Bishopdale class!

 

Term 2, 2012

Classes begin this week for term 2.  Although Wednesday is a public holiday, classes will continue as normal.  Any new enrolments, please make contact with the office 359 6546, to ensure a place is available.

Upper Primary PROP AND COSTUME list

Week 2                     10 - 16 Feb

“Race to the Pole” Bring clothes suitable for blizzard conditions.

Week 3                     17 - 23 Feb

“The Volcano”: Nothing required

Week 4                     24 - 1 Mar

“Bus Accident”.  Come as a tourist

Week 5                     2 - 8 Mar 

“Go Easy With the Chilli!”.  Any Mexican dress ups.                

Week 6                     9 - 15 Mar

“The Show Must Go On”.  Come as an actor or member of the stage crew

Week 7                     16 - 22 Mar

“Exploring the Caves”.  Bring a head torch, helmet or suitable clothing.

Week 8                     23 - 29 Mar 

“Sir Lancelot and Sir Galahad”.  Come as a knight or a lady

Week 9                     30 - 5 Apr

“Business as Usual”.  Come as a customer or a sales assistant

Lower Primary PROP AND COSTUME list

    Week 2                 10 - 16 Feb       
Bring a rag, brush or bucket for car cleaning.                                                       

    Week 3                 17 - 23 Feb      
Bring an item you would have at the beach such as towel, sunscreen,bucket and spade.

    Week 4                 24 - 1 Mar      
A trip on a flying carpet.  Bring a ticket, and perhaps a camera or binoculars.

     Week 5                 2 - 8 Mar          
Nothing required

     Week 6                 9 - 15 Mar        
Plastic or paper plates and cutlery

     Week 7                 16 - 22 Mar       
Bring something you might use for gardening such as gloves, a trowel or small broom.

Small newspaper, ie free community paper

Hat, gloves, scarf – accessories for cold weather

Places are still available for classes around Christchurch and Canterbury.  Please phone to secure a place - we have limited spaces and some classes are already full.

Our Term 4 Productions

We have confirmed four plays that are beingperformed by our classes on the weekend of the 17 and 18 December.

Production practise is in full swing and the students are doing an awesome job!

Rangiora and St Martins Studios

Our Rangiora and St Martins studios are continuing as normal today.  We'll see you there!

It's SNOWING!

Our Shirley and Fendalton classes are cancelled today.  Schools are closed and if it isn't safe enough to go to school, then it isn't safe enough to head to drama classes.  I hope you are all keeping warm at home and enjoying the fun of winter!  We look forward to seeing you next week instead!

Queenspark Change of Venue

We are moving our Queenspark class to a new venue!  From 4th August we will be at the Parkview Lounge at 75 Queenspark Drive.  We look forward to seeing you all there.

TERM THREE

Enrolments are now being taken for term 3.  Please phone 359 6546, if you would like to enrol your child in our fantastic drama classes in Christchurch and Canterbury.

Our term 3 classes begin the week beginning 1 August, and we will be completing a 10 week term.  Towards the end of term 3 we will start preparing for our Production which is being held in term 4.

WATER BOTTLES

A reminder that it is good practise to bring a water bottle to class.  We use our voices a lot - especially during a performance term and water helps!

TERM TWO PERFORMANCES

At the end of this term we invite the parents along for a Parent Day Presentation.  As parents are not invited to watch our classes each week, this is a fantastic chance for you to come along and view the type of things we do within a lesson.
It is also a chance for the students to peform for an audience, in a safe and easy way because it is just within a normal class lesson.
